eBay relaunches its eBay Anywhere mobile auction service as of August 12, 2004. It enables eBay users to receive short messaging service alerts about auctions, such as their being outbid, so they can then make changes via Wireless Application Protocol. I heard eBay is also likely to launch a downloadable Java version of the service.
Abidia also provides a service to use eBay from your mobile device, Abidia Wireless eBay Software, which is an application for mobile phones and handheld devices that allows easy access to eBay. The application has a customized interface built specifically for small screens.
