The meeting with Syed Shariq, the Co-chair of Kozmetsky Global Collabotory at Stanford, started at his office located on Main Quad with an overview of Oval Garden – the best view of Stanford. We talked about my project at Reuters Digital Vision and what I want to do in my life. Shariq gave me a very good advice of what it takes to be successful. He talked about commitment and tangible experiences. He also talked about Real Time Veture Design Lab (ReVeL). He recommend two books “Mountains beyond Mountains: Healing the World” by Tracy Ridder and “How the Scots Invented the Modern World” by Authur Herman. I would like to read these books when I have time.
After the meeting, a few of us – Greg, Renee and me – attended ReVeL’s reception and had a chance to meet other people on the team.
Nice blog!
